Usage
🤔 ¿Qué? vs ¿Cuál?
Both can mean “what/which” — but they’re used differently!
¿Qué es esto?
What is this? (definition/explanation)
¿Cuál es tu número?
What is your number? (selection from options)
💡 Use ¿Cuál? before ser when choosing between things. Use ¿Qué? to ask for a definition.
👥 ¿Quién? vs ¿Quiénes?
¿Quién? agrees in number — it has a plural form!
¿Quién es ese chico?
Who is that boy? (one person)
¿Quiénes son ellas?
Who are they? (multiple people)
💡 Always use ¿Quién/Quiénes? only for people — never for things!
🔢 ¿Cuánto? — Gender & Number
This one changes form to agree with the noun!
¿Cuánto dinero tienes? (masc.)
